7 killed after helicopter crashes in outskirts of Istanbul, Turkey

All seven people on board a helicopter were killed when it crashed onto a highway in the outskirts of Istanbul, Turkey, on Friday.
The helicopter collided with a television tower before crashing onto a highway in Istanbul's Buyukcekmece district, according to the Associated Press.

The helicopter had just taken off from the city's main Atatürk Airport, which is located to the east of the crash site.
According to reports, the crash occurred amid dense fog.
Visibility at Atatürk Airport has ranged from 4 to 5.6 km (2.5 to 3.5 miles) during the morning and midday hours of Friday, local time.
The base of a scattered low-hanging cloud deck was down to 121 meters (400 feet) in the morning.
The helicopter belonged to the Eczacibasi group of companies, according to the Associated Press. Those on board included an executive of Eczacibasi, four of his Russian guests and two pilots.
