Severe thunderstorms moved through western Michigan on Saturday afternoon with some of the storms producing damaging tornadoes.
The damaging storm brought down trees and power lines, leading to over 25,000 power outages across the area, according to Consumers Energy.

Some trees fell on houses while others fell across roadways, diverting traffic for drivers across the area.
There have not been any reports of serious injuries due to the storm, according to the Associated Press.

On Sunday, the National Weather Service in Grand Rapids found evidence of a brief EF0 tornado that spun up in northeast Grand Rapids. The NWS also found EF1 tornado damage between Bangor and Jamestown, Michigan. The storm surveys are expected to continue into Monday.
Dry weather is expected across western Michigan through the first half of the new week as cleanup efforts continue.
