Following an unsettled and cool weekend, high pressure will arrive early next week and bring dry and sunny periods to most of the United Kingdom.
"A typical weather pattern will set up early next week," AccuWeather Meteorologist Tyler Roys said. "There will be isolated showers across Scotland into northwestern Northern Ireland while the rest of the Isles will be dry."
Any shower that does occur will be light and brief.
Sunny periods will be seen across most of the United Kingdom beginning on Sunday, except for in northern Scotland where broken cloud will prevail.
High temperatures will also be around normal from Sunday through Tuesday which will likely be favored following a cooler end to the week and start to the weekend.
By Tuesday, temperatures will rise to be between 12 C and 15 C (54 F and 59 F) in the South of England and between 10 C and 13 C (50 F and 55 F) in the North of England and Northern Ireland. Scotland will be between 7 C and 11 C (45 F and 52 F).
There will be several days to get outside and enjoy recreational activities. There will only be a light breeze. A jacket may be needed, but umbrellas can be left at home for those outside of Scotland.

Detailed forecast for London
While motorists will find the weather to be favorable most of the time, there will be one concern.
"With high pressure building in across the United Kingdom, there can be fog patches that develop late at night into the early morning," Roys said.
Any fog that does develop will dissipate mid-morning and give way to sunny spells for the rest of the day. However, motorists will want to use extra caution if there is fog and reduce speed in lowered visibility. Most likely areas to see reduced visibility from fog will be in Wales and southern England.
This pattern may continue with dry and sunny spells through the rest of the week. However, the track of a low pressure system off the coast of Portugal will have to be watched toward the end of the week as it could bring showers to southern areas should it approach close enough.
