An approaching storm will transport milder air into the region on Sunday and Monday following a winterlike start to the weekend.
Highs by Monday may reach or exceed the 50-degree Fahrenheit mark, but still below normal for the middle of April.
"The arrival of milder air will battle with cold air near the surface and could produce an area of snow, sleet and freezing rain on Sunday morning before changing over to rain by the afternoon," AccuWeather Meteorologist Brett Rathbun said.

Rain will continue on Sunday night and may lead to the postponement of the Sunday night baseball matchup between the Detroit Tigers and the New York Yankees at Comerica Park.
As the storm exits, cooler air will once again build across the region. Highs on Tuesday and Wednesday will be stuck in the 40s with overnight lows below freezing.
"Those wanting to plant flowers outside should consider waiting until at least next weekend to limit the potential for another frost or freeze," Rathbun said.
