After a mostly sunny Monday with highs in the low 70s F, temperatures in the Detroit area will ride a roller coaster through the remainder of the week.
Monday will feel more like the middle of June in Detroit with temperatures nearly 15 degrees Fahrenheit above normal for this time of year. Sunny skies will make the afternoon feel like 80 F.

On Monday night, however, a cold front will move through, ushering in spotty showers and a significant temperature drop.
Highs will only climb into the upper 50s F on Tuesday, a near-normal reading.
By the middle of the week, the mercury will again begin to rise as a slow-warming trend takes over. Highs will climb to the middle 60s on Wednesday and top out in the low 70s on Thursday.
Rain will return Thursday evening however, and continue into the end of the week. Those heading outdoors in the evening Thursday and those making the Friday morning commute will want to pack an umbrella.
Cooler air will make a comeback on Friday.
