Chicago-area residents will be able to enjoy dry and pleasant conditions for the first couple of days this week before rain returns by Wednesday.
A warm front will move through on Tuesday, bringing temperatures in the low 60s and some sunshine, according to AccuWeather Meteorologist Ed Vallee.
A normal high temperature for this time of year in the city is in the upper 40s.
The warmup will be brief, however, as showers and breezy conditions are in story for Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures are expected to return to the low 40s by Thursday.
"By Wednesday, a storm system will approach from the west and spread rain and cooler conditions into the area," Vallee said. "Rain will last through Thursday and Thursday night, and may end as some snow in the city."
