LIVE: Snow sweeps through the Northeast

A spring snowstorm making its way up the East Coast will continue to impact parts of the Northeast into Monday night.
"Conditions will worsen across New England into Monday morning as snow overspreads the region," AccuWeather Meteorologist Michael Doll said. "Most roads in and around New York City will be wet because temperatures will remain above freezing. It's a little colder in southern New England and in eastern Long Island and those areas will see snow accumulate on roads."
The heaviest snow will fall from eastern Long Island to far eastern New England. Motorists should prepare for slippery travel even though the highest snow totals will be measured on grassy and elevated surfaces.

12:05 p.m. EDT Monday A band of heavy snow is moving into Atlantic City, New Jersey.

11:47 p.m. EDT Sunday A 45-mph speed restriction is in place on the New Jersey Turnpike in both directions from South Brunswick Township to Pennsville Township, 511NJ reports.
11:15 p.m. EDT Sunday Minor departure delays are being reported at LaGuardia, JFK and Newark airports, according to FlightAware.
10:45 p.m. EDT Sunday Snow continues to move into the New York City metro area.

10:29 p.m. EDT Sunday A 45-mph speed restriction is in place on the Garden State Parkway in both directions from Cape May to the New York state line, 511NJ reports.
9:30 p.m. EDT Sunday Some snow and icy road conditions are being reported around New York City, 511NY said.

3:10 p.m. EDT Sunday Boston area schools are closed on Monday, March 21, due to the concern of heavy snow during the morning hours, Boston Public Schools reports.
