The mid-Atlantic was slammed by a blizzard on Feb. 9-10, 2010. A total of 15.8 inches of snow piled up in Philadelphia, while Washington, D.C., received 10.8 inches. While the storm alone was significant, the mid-Atlantic was already snow-weary from the blizzard that pounded the region just a few days prior. This first storm buried Philadelphia with 28.5 inches of snow and Washington, D.C., with 17.8 inches.
