A period of quiet weather will hold through late week and into the weekend in Atlanta.
High pressure centered over the Atlantic will nose into northern Georgia until Saturday, AccuWeather Meteorologist Frank Strait said.
"It looks like a stretch of nice weather for [Atlanta]," he said.
Plenty of sunshine will be in store for the region through Friday, before cloudy skies occur on Saturday.
Temperatures will rise into the upper 70s through Saturday; a normal high temperature for this time of year in the city is 71 F.
