• Tropical Storm Claudette became the third named storm of the Atlantic hurricane season just after midday Monday about 500 miles east-northeast of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina.
• Claudette will move northeast through Tuesday, eventually becoming a post-tropical cyclone before reaching eastern Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.
• Claudette poses no threat to the U.S., and may only bring some showers and gusty winds to parts of the Canadian Maritimes late Tuesday into Wednesday.
