Some light rain or showers will linger into the day Monday and temperatures will be below average, AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Alyson Hoegg said.
Average temperatures for this time of year in Atlanta are in the middle 60s.
It will turn milder towards midweek as temperatures climb into the upper 60s on Tuesday and Wednesday. High pressure will set up to the north and keep the region dry on Tuesday, Hoegg added.
"Most of the day Wednesday should be dry as well, but a spotty shower or thunderstorm can't be ruled out in the afternoon," Hoegg said.
Looking ahead to late in the week, an afternoon shower or thunderstorm is possible on Thursday, with rain sticking around on Friday as temperatures drop back into the low 60s.
