Weather Underground Forecast for Tuesday,February 10,2015
An
area of low pressure will develop over the north central portion of the
country on Tuesday, while a separate system will move over the western
Atlantic.
Wet weather is expected to wind down across the Pacific Northwest on Tuesday as a low pressure system pushes eastward over the north central states. Chances of rain will linger over Washington and northern Oregon during the first half of the day, while high elevation snow showers can be expected across the Cascades and the northern Rockies. As the aforementioned low pressure system slides eastward, an active weather pattern will set up over the northern Plains. A mixture of snow, freezing rain and rain will be possible across Montana, Wyoming, the Dakotas, Iowa and Minnesota. By the late afternoon and evening, heavy snow showers are expected to develop over Minnesota, northern Wisconsin and the western Great Lakes. High pressure will continue to bring a calm weather pattern to the Southwest and the southern Rockies.
Meanwhile, a low pressure system will move east southeastward over the southern Mid-Atlantic and the western Atlantic. This system will usher snow showers over the northern Mid-Atlantic and the coast of New England during Tuesday morning. Light to moderate rain will also be possible over the southern Mid-Atlantic. Conditions will clear up by the late afternoon and evening as an arctic high pressure system shifts over the Northeast.
