After a week of dry weather, rain and cooler conditions are in store for the weekend and new week.
High pressure that had been holding over the Northwest will move eastward, allowing a few waves of moisture in from the Pacific Ocean.
Late Friday and into Saturday, a front will move through bringing in showers. Temperatures are expected to dip into the lower 60s. This will bring temperatures near normal for this time in October.
Rain for the first half of the weekend is not expected to be heavy, but steadier rain is anticipated for Sunday that will bring as much as an inch of rain in total to the area.
A brief break from the rain is expected on Monday, with a bit of sunshine.
However, a more potent storm is set to move in for Tuesday or Wednesday of the new week. Steady periods of rain with this will be likely with temperatures in the upper 50s.
