Hot and humid air will be swept away from Philadelphia on Sunday and Monday, following locally drenching showers and thunderstorms on Saturday.
The rain is forecast to move away well ahead of start of the Eagles/Jaguars game on Sunday afternoon at Lincoln Financial Field.
After spending much of the first week of September with weather more typical of July, temperatures will return to close to average September levels by early next week in the wake of a strong cool front.
Highs will be in the upper 70s to near 80 F with lows near 60. Temperatures will dip into the 50s in the suburbs.

The cool push will not mark the end of warm, humid conditions just yet as temperatures are forecast to rebound later on next week.
