Severe thunderstorms are unfolding across portions of the southern Plains and Mississippi Valley this Saturday with one primary threat area ranging from western Tennessee through southern Oklahoma.
These ongoing storms continue to produce hail, damaging winds and flooding downpours. Several tornadoes were reported to have touched down.
Cities in the path of this severe weather include: Memphis, Tennessee; Little Rock, Arkansas; and McAlester, Oklahoma.
Also through Saturday evening, more severe thunderstorms will erupt across portions of southeastern Colorado, West Texas, eastern New Mexico and western Oklahoma. These areas will have the potential to see wind gusts up to 70 mph, flooding downpours and hail the size of baseballs. A few tornadoes will touch down.
