While Boston will see an increase in temperature this week, the city will miss out on the extreme heat affecting parts of the mid-Atlantic.
The workweek will get off to a nice start with mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s. A shower or thunderstorm for late Monday night cannot be ruled out.
Temperatures will remain in the low 70s and upper 60s for the Red Sox game vs. the Minnesota Twins on Monday evening at Fenway Park. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. EDT.
Tuesday will see partly sunny conditions and seasonable temperatures remain, but a shower or thunderstorm will arise in spots.
It will turn warm and humid heading into Wednesday, as high temperatures reach the low 80s. Similarly to Tuesday, a shower or thunderstorm will affect parts of the region.
