Despite the stormy start to the week, sunshine and mild weather will take hold of the city for Father's Day weekend.
After a breezy day on Friday, skies will be clear and sunny to kickstart the weekend Saturday. Temperatures will rise a few degrees from Friday, reaching the mid-70s.
Stargazers will be in luck on Saturday night as overnight lows will hover in the low 50s, but skies will be clear with only some patchy clouds in areas.

The warmest day of the weekend will come on Sunday, as highs approach the 80 F mark. For those looking to spend some quality time with dad outdoors, partly sunny skies and warm temperatures Sunday will make Father's Day the most ideal day to be outside.
For race fans heading to Michigan Motor Speedway on Sunday in Brooklyn, Michigan, storms are forecast to hold off.
