After strong storms move through the Chicago area late in the weekend, more stormy weather will return to the city midweek.
The storms moving into the area Sunday evening will be severe, with an accompanying threat of torrential downpours, hail and wind.
As the workweek gets started things will settle down a bit, as dry air moves into the area Monday with clouds giving way to sun and highs in the upper 80s.
It will become warmer on Tuesday with highs in the low 90s. Normal temperature for around this time of year in Chicago is 81 F. There will be a shower or thunderstorm around throughout the day.
The Chicago White Sox will begin a quick two-game series against the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday at U.S. Cellular Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. CDT. Evening conditions look good for baseball with mostly cloudy skies and temperatures in the upper 70s during the evening.

The threat for thunderstorms will continue Thursday and Friday as temperatures move into the mid-80s.
