Violent thunderstorms, which produced tornadoes across parts of Kansas and Nebraska will continue to move across the central and southern Plains throughout Sunday night.
Parts of the country that should remain on high alert for an outbreak of tornadoes include central and western Iowa, southeastern Nebraska and central Kansas.
However, outside of the highest tornado risk areas, the severe weather threat will stretch south into west-central Texas as well as northeast into parts of southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. These storms can produce damaging winds, hail, flooding and frequent lightning.
