Atlanta: Unsettled Weather Through Midweek

Showers and thunderstorms will linger around the Atlanta area through Wednesday with a heavy rain possible before the end of the week.
Monday is will be the warmest day of the week with high temperatures climbing into the upper 80s. A shower or thunderstorm can be expected around during the afternoon and into the evening.

After Monday, temperatures will slowly fall by a few degrees each day, reaching the middle 80s on Tuesday and the lower 80s on Wednesday.
A normal high temperature for mid-May in Atlanta is 79 degrees.
Both Tuesday and Wednesday will feature a few showers and thunderstorms, possibly causing delays for any outdoor activities.

A steadier rain is expected to move into the area on Thursday, helping to keep temperatures in the lower 70s.
Nicer weather will be making a return with abundant sunshine, lower humidity and highs in the middle 70s.
