After periods of heavy rain dampened San Francisco, calmer weather will return to the city to kickoff the first week of March.
Following heavy rainfall on Friday and Saturday, a trend toward drier conditions is expected into the start of the week.
Periods of sunshine and clouds will be accompanied by some passing showers on Sunday and Monday, dropping a bit more rain on the drought-stricken region.

By Tuesday, rain will depart the area making way for intervals of clouds and sunshine on Wednesday.
Temperatures for the week will remain consistently in the 60s with overnight lows in the low 50s.

The city's next chance for some passing showers will come on Thursday but after that sunshine is in the forecast until next week.
The weekend will be mostly sunny with temperatures nearing the 70s by the end of the weekend and into the start of next week.
