For folks hoping for a change in the weather, there is some good news.
After yet another storm passes through the upper part of the mid-Atlantic and New England with snow Monday night into Tuesday, temperatures will trend above average for the middle and latter part of the week.
It may even near 60 degrees by Friday.
Prior to the milder weather, another system threatens to drop several inches of snow from Minnesota to Massachusetts Sunday night through Tuesday. A wintry mix is expected in Baltimore Monday night into early Tuesday. The heaviest snow is expected to stay north of the region.
In the wake of the snowstorms, people are urged to walk and drive defensively.

How warm it gets after the snow is tricky, as the ground and area waterways are cold and/or frozen and many areas will have to melt a substantial amount of snow beforehand.
The sun's energy will first focus on melting that snow before warming up the lower atmosphere.
