Following a series of winter storms that inundated the Chicago area, a warmup is in store for the city this week.
Beginning Tuesday, temperatures will jump nearly 10 degrees reaching into the upper 30s and low 40s by Thursday.
Some sun will shine over the city on Tuesday and Wednesday, making the air feel warmer as temperatures jump from the 20s on Monday to the high 30s.

Thursday may prove to be the warmest day of the bunch, hovering around 40 F. However, rain will fall over the city threatening the morning commute, as it freezes early in the day.
By the end of the week, temperatures will dip back into the 30s and then plummet back down to below freezing by Sunday.
Snow will make its return to Chicago over the weekend.
