After weeks of frigid air, the city has just one more weekend to go before a warmup brings Chicago some relief from the dangerous cold.
Temperatures will stay below freezing through Sunday, but begin to rise on Monday.
The weekend has a chance to bring some more wintry precipitation to the city, as Saturday may usher in some snow showers during the late afternoon.
While some sun will grace Chicago on Sunday, temperatures will decrease headed into the evening hours creating some potential ice problems. Those traveling on Sunday night should be aware possibly slippery and dangerous travel conditions.

Another chance for wintry precipitation will come Monday, as a wintry mix of snow and rain is expected. However, temperatures will rise close to ten degrees from Sunday into the upper 30s.
By Tuesday, temperatures will reach into the 40s and remain there through Thursday. For next weekend, temperatures will increase even more, hovering near 50 F.
