After some late-week and weekend snowfall in the city, warmth will bring brief relief from the cold and snow in Chicago.
Thursday will bring more snowflakes to the city with a coating to an inch accumulating by the late evening. Temperatures will rise nearly 10 degrees from Wednesday, nearing freezing.
A breezy wind will blow through the city beginning Thursday and lasting through the weekend. At times, wind gusts up to 22 mph are possible.

Come Friday, temperatures will plunge back down into the teens. Accompanied by the breeze, Friday's air will feel cold in the city.
Another chance for some snow will come on Saturday, with some flurries possible in the afternoon hours.

Sunday will bring higher temperatures to the city, as the mercury rises almost 20 degrees from previous days. Partly sunny skies will make the air feel even warmer during the day.
Heading into next week, however, temperatures will dive back down into the 20s, as the next chance for snow showers arrives on Tuesday.
