Following unusual warmth during the weekend, the wintry chill returns to Detroit in time for the Christmas holiday.
There is a chance of a coating up to an inch of snow on Monday night.
There could be a bit of sunshine on Tuesday and Wednesday; otherwise, cloudy skies move into the area for the middle of the week. On Christmas, breezier conditions across the Great Lakes will bring a snow shower or two into the forecast.
High temperatures through the end of the week will range from the upper 20s to lower 30s, which is average for the end of December.
