PHOTOS: Powerful Snowstorm Pummels Eastern US

Heavy snow, rain and wintry mixes are disrupting travel across much of the eastern part of the United States this weekend.
Flights have been delayed for more than two hours at JFK airport while a ground stop was held at La Guardia. Hundreds of flights have been canceled into and out of Newark and Philadelphia airports.

Meanwhile, snowy road conditions caused travel accidents on the Pennsylvania Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway.

The storm will continue to spread up into New England and across the mid-Atlantic into Sunday.
