After a few dry but chilly days in Chicago, the weekend threatens to bring damaging wind-driven rain.
Rain and locally damaging winds will whip the Ohio Valley over the weekend, likely reaching Chicago by Sunday.
Gusty winds will threaten to down trees and power lines and have the potential to delay air travel in the area.

Travelers should prepare for slower movement along Interstates 90, 70 and 64 among others, as blinding downpours sweep the region.
Drier, and colder, weather will return to the area Monday as the stormy weather moves eastward.
