The mid-winter chill that moved into the area this week will be a distant memory by the upcoming weekend.
Afternoon RealFeel® temperatures will soar back into the upper 50s and lower 60s Friday and Saturday. Sunshine will mix with clouds each day.
The tranquil weather will compliment walks to nearby parks and restaurants. It would be a great time for sightseers to visit everything the city has to offer.
On Sunday, an advancing storm will bring clouds, wind and a couple of showers. Gusty, southerly winds will push afternoon temperatures toward the record of 75 set in 1958.
Despite the chances of rain on Sunday, the rain should not be significant enough to warrant canceling outdoor plans.
The same storm will bring a much steadier, wind-driven rain to the city Sunday night.

Downpours will reduce visibilities for those traveling in and out of the city Sunday night. In some cases, ponding on roadways may limit lane travel or exit access, especially in low-lying and poor-drainage areas.
"The steadiest rain will be gone by the Monday morning commute," said Expert Senior Meteorologist Dave Dombek.
Much cooler weather will move in on Monday as well, erasing Sunday's near-record warmth.
