Temperature Roller Coaster Ride for Minneapolis

Minneapolis is serving as the battleground between surging late-summer heat and cool shots the next several days.
The weekend is starting on a hot and humid note in Minneapolis with temperatures set to soar into the lower 90s.
Those attending the city's fourth annual Kramarczuk's Kielbasa Festival are urged to drink plenty of water and visit shaded/air conditioned areas to keep cool.
A repeat of Saturday's sizzle is not in store for the second half of the weekend.

Instead, more seasonable and less humid air will arrive on Sunday and hold temperatures to near 80 degrees. Sun mixing with some clouds will compliment the day, which features the Minnesota Twins once again hosting the Toronto Blue Jays at 1:10 p.m. CDT.
As quick as Sunday's relief from the heat arrives, steamy air will surge back into Minnesota on Monday. Temperatures will soar to around 91 degrees, falling just shy of Monday's record high of 95 degrees from 1947.

The temperature roller coaster ride in Minneapolis will continue Tuesday as yet another cold front knocks temperatures back into the lower 80s, triggering a shower or thunderstorm in the process.
Even cooler air should arrive later in the week.
