An extended period of dry weather will continue into Saturday around New York. However, the next chance of rain is Saturday evening.
Sunshine and a warming trend will take the New York area through the balance of the week. High temperatures will be in the 70s.
A slow-moving frontal system will bring some shower and thunderstorm activity to the region during Saturday night into Sunday morning. The risk of downpours includes the Mets game at Philadelphia.
While there is a chance of showers for morning tailgating at MetLife Stadium for the Bills/Jets game, clearing is in store for the afternoon game itself.
