An extended period of dry weather will continue into Friday night around Harrisburg. However, Saturday will turn out wet and could be very wet.
Sunshine and a warming trend will take southern and central Pennsylvania and northern Maryland through the end of the week. Temperatures could touch 80 degrees on Friday.
A front approaching from the Midwest will bring showers and thunderstorms to the region, as early as Saturday midday.

For fans heading to Happy Valley for the Penn State/Kent State game, bring wet weather gear. There is the potential for a dose of windswept, heavy rain during the midday and afternoon.
If you are heading to Citizens Bank Park, there is the chance of downpours disrupting play during the late innings. Sunday is now looking more likely to be free of rain.
If you are heading to Nationals Park, the Saturday game with the Marlins will bring a risk of downpours.
However, similarly to Philadelphia, rain is looking less likely for Sunday's game.
Likewise, the Lions/Redskins game at FedEx Field and the Texans/Ravens game at M&T Bank Stadium Sunday should bring some sunshine.
