For the first day of fall on Sunday, Detroit was dry and cool.
A cool front brought rain more 0.75 of an inch of rain to the area through early Saturday morning.
But in the wake of this front, a high pressure will bring cool autumn-like temperatures to the region for the start of the new week, with temperatures in the upper 60s.
For the New Day Foundation Golf Tournament on Monday, temperatures will remain come close to 70 degrees with mostly sunny skies.

High pressure, over the Great Lakes will shift north of the Detroit area Monday and Tuesday, bringing warmer temperatures.
Sunshine is expected to continue through the middle of the week as the mercury rises to the mid-70s, just a few degrees above the average for the end of September.

Clear nighttime skies on Wednesday and Friday will be ideal for those tailgating before the Detroit Red Wings preseason games against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday, followed by the Toronto Maple Leafs Friday.
High pressure currently looks to hold over the area through the week, with the next chance of wet weather towards the end of the week into the weekend.
Rain is in the forecast for Sunday, bringing wet weather to fans headed out to the Chicago Bears game as they host the Detroit Lions at Ford Field.
