Cool Rains Coming for Seattle

September 3,2013; 7:54PM.EDT

Cooler weather and rainy conditions are on tap through Saturday for the Seattle area.
Temperatures have been above normal to start September with daytime highs about 8 degrees above normal.
It may feel like a fall-like pattern is taking shape, but it isn't according to AccuWeather.com Expert Senior Meteorologist Ken Clark.
"First, it looks like it will warm up and be dry for a portion of next week, so this is not really the start of the fall season for them," Clark said.
There is a possibility of localized severe weather Wednesday afternoon and evening in northeastern Oregon, eastern Washington and parts of northern Idaho.

"Thursday also has the chance of severe weather for northern Idaho, eastern Washington and into western Nevada. The biggest threat is from heavy rain, strong winds and the potential for hail," Clark said.
Showers should be out of the picture in Seattle for Sunday and Monday with sunshine and highs in the low to mid-70s.
