Tuesday morning and early afternoon, gusty winds and
torrential downpours plagued the Northeast. Heavy rain caused flooding
in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland. Damaging winds blew
roofs off houses and flooding closed multiple roads in New Jersey.
The storms are expected to continue through Tuesday afternoon and
evening, affecting major cities such as Washington, D.C.; Norfolk and
Roanoke, Va.; and Charlotte and Raleigh, N.C.
