Snow from Nor'easter Around Philadelphia and New Jersey

The same push of cold air shunting the coastal storm a bit farther east is also leading to snow over portions of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
The storm is currently strengthening off the New Jersey coast, and the Philadelphia area will be near the western edge of the storm's heavy precipitation area into Wednesday night.
The snow will accumulate a coating to an inch in Philadelphia. Wilmington, Del., can expect a similar total. Accumulations will range upward north and east of the city.

An inch of snow or more in Philadelphia in November is not a common occurrence, according to AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Eric Wanenchak.
"The last time Philadelphia measured an inch of snow in November was November 21, 2008. Heavier than that, you have to go back to 1995--they had 2.0 inches on November 29," Wanenchak stated.
The greatest snow accumulation will be on non-paved and elevated surfaces.
People in some of the eastern and northern Philadelphia suburbs over New Jersey will be cleaning 3 to 6 inches of snow snow off their cars by Thursday morning.
The heavy snow threatens to bring all the bells and whistles from many trees being weighed down to power outages and slippery roads in some locations.

The storm will bring minor to moderate coastal flooding to parts of New Jersey and Delaware into tonight. A northerly wind will minimize water rises from Atlantic City to Cape May, but will bring some snow to the beaches.
Cold, gusty winds will affect much of the region and can lead to a few downed trees and sporadic power outages, even without snow. Gusts can reach between 40 and 50 mph in Philadelphia and close to 60 mph along on the New Jersey and Delaware shore.
