Another Tropical Depression Forms in the Atlantic

Today has been quite a busy day in the Atlantic Basin with the formation of both Tropical Storm Sandy and Tropical Depression 19.
Tropical Depression 19 is located about 750 miles east-northeast of the Leeward Islands and headed to the north.
Unlike Sandy, a scenario for the final destination of T.D. 19 does not involve the United States.
T.D. 19 will instead track to the north, then northeast over the open waters of the Atlantic through Tuesday, strengthening into a tropical storm in the process.
The next tropical storm in the Atlantic Basin will acquire the name "Tony."
The lifespan of T.D. 19 may be over before Sandy even emerges from the Caribbean and reaches the Bahamas. A non-tropical storm over the north-central Atlantic Ocean should absorb T.D. 19 by late week.
T.D. 19's remains could still bring enhanced rainfall to the Azores this weekend.
