It has been a mild November for most of the Northeast, but temperatures are expected to take a dip Friday and into the weekend.
The flow of air around a strong storm system will not only bring gusty winds to the region, but also noticeably chillier air.
Warmer Air Returns to the East Next Week
High temperatures will trend downward between 10 and 15 degrees Fahrenheit into Saturday.
While highs were in the 60s in many areas on Thursday, temperatures will struggle to reach the 50-degree mark by Saturday.

Temperatures will drop enough across the interior Northeast so that snow will mix in with some of the showers, especially in higher elevations, Friday night into Saturday morning.
AccuWeather RealFeel® Temperatures will dip into the 20s over the higher elevations and into the 30s at times in the mid-Atlantic and New England I-95 corridor by Saturday.

The RealFeel Temperature takes into account many different factors such as wind, humidity and time of day to determine how hot or cold it actually feels outside.
According to AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Alex Sosnowski, "Winds accompanying the colder air will gust as high as 60 mph in parts of the central Appalachians and well past 40 mph east of the mountains on Friday."

Saturday will remain quite blustery in New England, but will gradually diminish later in the weekend, Sosnowski added.
The chilly conditions will be short-lived with warmer conditions in store for much of next week.
