Valentine’s Day plans will not be in jeopardy on Tuesday across Germany as sunshine and milder weather replaces the snow showers starting this weekend.
High pressure settling southward over central Europe will lead to a comfortable stretch of weather for Germany early this week.
Sunshine will win out over any patchy and brief morning fog, allowing temperatures to rebound.
2/11 Germany
Anyone heading out for a Valentine’s Day lunch or dinner can swap heavy jackets for sunglasses on Tuesday with temperatures expected to rise above normal throughout the nation.
Highs will range from 4-6 degrees Celsius (39-43 degrees Fahrenheit) in northeastern areas to 7-10 C (45-50 F) in the west and south. This time of year, it is more common for temperatures to rise to 2 C (36 F) in Berlin, 4 C (39 F) in Munich and 5.6 C (42 F) in Frankfurt.

Clear skies will allow temperatures to plummet at night, but only to seasonably chilly levels. The return of the harsh January cold is not anticipated.
Romantics will not have trouble holding onto flowers, cards, balloons or boxes of heart-shaped ginger cookies as there will be little in the way of wind on Tuesday.
The dry stretch and warming trend will continue into Wednesday with no signs of another cold shot to come the rest of the week.
