Warm and pleasant conditions will mark the start of the weekend, but wet weather will put a damper on things by Sunday in Boston.
Temperatures in the mid-70s, with times of clouds and sun, will provide plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities on Saturday.

A high near 74 F is right around normal for this time of year in the city.
Fans heading to Chestnut Hill to watch Boston College host Howard University at 1 p.m. will not have to worry about weather disrupting tailgating festivities.

Sunday, conditions will worsen, with periods of rain expected throughout the day, according to AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Dave Dombek.

The wet weather is expected to continue into the start of the new workweek, with a couple of showers possible on Monday, along with windy conditions.
The recent showers have been welcome. From Aug. 15 through Sept. 8, only 0.88 of an inch of rain fell, just 35 percent of normal for that period, AccuWeather Meteorologist Andy Mussoline stated.
