Severe storms hammered North Texas with dangerous flash flooding, prompting water rescues and overwhelming multiple roadways and homes.
Sunday evening, the Army National Guard rescued two men stranded on top of their pickup truck in Sanger, Texas, in what was a harrowing rescue.
One of the men stuck on the truck described the experience to Amanda Guerra of NBC 5 via Twitter, "It was like out of a movie; it was a foot deep then a massive wave pushed me off the road and flooded it out."
According to FEMA, it only takes 6 inches of water to reach the bottom of most cars, causing loss of controll and stalling of the vehicle. Two feet of rushing water will carry away most vehicles, including SUVs and pickups -- which is likely what happened to the gentlemen in Sanger, Texas.

Earlier, four people trapped in a home in Krum, Texas, were rescued by the National Guard, as well, after high waters prevented fire trucks from reaching them Sunday evening, CBS Dallas-Fort Worth reported. Among those rescued was a baby, whose mother clung desperately to her child during the air rescue.
