Monday's Warmth to Tease DC Before Chill Returns

Residents around Washington, D.C., should not get used to Monday's warmth with a shot of cooler air quickly to follow.
Monday is shaping up to be the nicest day of this week. Temperatures will rise well into the 60s, which is more typical of April.
While actual temperatures will climb about 10 degrees above Sunday's high, Monday will feel much warmer than the end of the weekend with brisk winds absent.
Residents should take full advantage of Monday's mild weather since it will not last long.

Temperatures will remain mild through Tuesday but an increase in clouds and a passing shower will be a sign that the weather is about to turn.
The cold front responsible for the spotty showers on Tuesday will open the door for a fresh shot of chilly air.
Temperatures will plunge down to around the freezing mark Tuesday night before rebounding only to the upper 40s on Wednesday. A brisk wind will create much lower AccuWeather.com RealFeel® temperatures.

A dramatic rebound in temperatures will not follow later in the week.

This week is likely to be a preview of what is to come during the next several weeks.
"While there could be a day or two of warmth ahead of any cold front, the weather pattern is not favoring any sustained warmth across the East into April," stated AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Mark Paquette. "There can even be some really chilly shots as well."
