Following a generally tranquil weather pattern across San Francisco and the Bay Area through much of the week, the dry weather will hold through the weekend despite the return of showers in the Pacific Northwest.
Rain will not make much of an impact in the Bay area late in the week.
Residents and visitors can expect sunshine with highs a few degrees above normal around the 60 F mark on Thursday and Friday.
"A cold front will move into northern California Thursday night into Friday, but any shower activity should remain to the north of the Bay area," AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Brian Edwards said.
Moisture will continue to stream into the Pacific Northwest and parts of northern California over the weekend, with the San Francisco region remaining generally dry.

Residents in the Sacramento area can also expect similar weather. However, residents can expect locally dense fog Wednesday morning with visibilities near zero at times before the fog gives way to hazy afternoon sunshine.

Highs will be above normal reaching the lower 60s. There will be another round of locally dense fog late Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
"The rest of Thursday will feature partly sunny skies and highs in the middle 60s," Edwards said.
On Friday, there will be partly sunny skies with highs remaining nearly 10 degrees above normal.
"Similar to San Francisco, most of the moisture streaming into northern California Thursday night and Friday will remain to the north of Sacramento."
