Following a few lake-effect snow showers through the week, drier weather will set in across the Cleveland area for the weekend, but the frigid air will continue to hold.
Cold, gusty winds will continue to blow Friday with mostly cloudy skies and some snow showers. High temperatures will only reach the upper teens, but it will feel like it's 10 to 15 degrees below zero with the wind factored in.
Through the weekend it will remain very cold and brisk through the first part of the weekend with clouds giving way to sunshine, AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Carl Erickson said.

It will not be as harsh by the end of the weekend with less wind and temperatures rising to near 30 F in the afternoon hours Sunday, Erickson added.

Looking ahead into the start of the new week, there is a chance some snow could sneak in from the south, Erickson said.
Highs will continue to linger in the lower 30s early in the week.
