In the wake of heavy rain, coastal flooding and strong winds, enough chilly air will circulate into the Philadelphia area to allow a touch of snow before Friday.
As the storm moves slowly northward into Friday, a northwesterly flow on the back side will bring in colder air for a couple of days.
When combined with northwest winds averaging 15-25 mph and other conditions, AccuWeather RealFeel® temperatures will dip into the 20s at times Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Locally heavy snow will fall over parts of northern and western upstate New York and northern Pennsylvania during Wednesday with difficult travel, while less intense snow reaches into southeastern Pennsylvania.
Roads could be slippery for a time Wednesday into Thursday in the northern and western suburbs with a small accumulation possible on grassy surfaces. Most city streets and major highways in center city and to the south and west will be just wet with mixed rain and wet snow showers.
