Philly: Early Week Storm to Bring Coastal Rain, Interior Snow

After a blustery, drier end to the weekend, another round of rain and travel woes will return to the city Monday night into Tuesday.
Rain will develop and potentially turn heavy Monday night and Tuesday in the city and surrounding areas. Some flooding may result, especially across low lying and poor drainage areas.
Those planning for any ground or air travel in and around the city should prepare for some delays.

"Enough warm air will wrap into this storm that we're talking about just rain this time around in Philadelphia," said AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Brian Thompson.
While rain will hit the I-95 corridor during the early week period, a heavy, wet snow will threaten to hit interior areas.

"The threat for a heavy, wet snow will target parts of the Poconos and Catskills through northern New England," said Thompson.
The heavy wet snow could be enough to bring down trees and power lines across the interior.
A strengthening coastal storm will be responsible for the unsettled weather. The storm will linger in the region through midweek, keeping clouds and some rain around through at least Wednesday.
