Dry weather is expected to return by the middle of the week, clearing out any remaining rain or snow showers from a weak clipper system that moved through during the beginning of the week.
High pressure will be responsible for bringing in a prolonged period of dry weather. It will likely be days before the Detroit area has any significant precipitation.
A coastal storm affecting the Northeast is expected to pivot towards the Great Lakes towards the end of the week. However, it appears the snow will be stopped by the dry dome of high pressure before reaching Detroit.
Although its precipitation won't affect the Motor City, a gusty breeze could develop due to the nearby storm.
The dry stretch of weather will bring high temperatures around the normal for this time of the year, which is in the upper 30s. However, the gusty breeze will be strong enough to lower AccuWeather.com RealFeel® Temperatures into the teens over the next couple of days.
