In the wake of rain, chilly air will circulate into the Washington, D.C., area and could bring spotty snow showers before Friday.
As the storm moves slowly northward into Friday, a northwesterly flow on the back side will bring in colder air for a couple of days.
When combined with northwest winds averaging 12-25 mph and other conditions, AccuWeather RealFeel® temperatures will dip into the 20s at times Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Locally heavy snow will fall over parts of western and northern Pennsylvania, western Maryland and West Virginia during Wednesday with difficult travel, while less intense snow reaches south and east of the Appalachians.
Roads could be slippery for a time Wednesday into Thursday in the distant northern and western suburbs with a small accumulation possible on grassy surfaces. Most city streets and major highways in the District of Columbia and to the south and west will be dry most of the time, to occasionally wet with very spotty mixed rain and wet snow showers.
