Boston: Weekend to Get Off to Wet Start With Travel Delays

Part of the storm that hit California at midweek will bring drenching rain to the Boston area for the first part of this weekend.
According to AccuWeather Chief Meteorologist Elliot Abrams, "Rain and fog may slow travel around the city and much of the I-95 corridor on Saturday."
Holiday shoppers will want to wear waterproof shoes, take along an umbrella and be prepared to dodge airborne puddles at the intersections.

There is some good news for those who have had enough of the frequent cloudy, damp days, however.
Clearing is forecast for Sunday.

The progress of a storm forecast to develop just offshore early next week will be monitored closely for a possible track toward the coast on Tuesday. Just enough cold air might be around to allow such a storm to bring not only rain, but also heavy snow to part of New England.
For those hoping to stretch their heating budget this month after November's cold weather, there are no signs of long-lasting arctic air for the region through the middle of the month.
