Weather Underground Forecast for Monday,November 10,2014

Winter weather will impact the north central portion of the country on Monday, while a cluster of thunderstorms will develop over Florida.

A powerful weather system is expected to develop across the central portion of the country. Moderate to heavy snow showers, along with gusty winds, will impact the northern Plains and the upper Midwest. Blowing snow will diminish visibility, creating hazardous conditions along roadways from northeast Wyoming, across the Dakotas and into the upper Mississippi Valley. Frigid temperatures will also spread across the upper Intermountain West and the northern Plains. Temperatures are forecast to drop 20 to 30 degrees below normal across the northern Plains. Lighter snow showers will develop over the Rockies, while a mixture of rain and snow will affect the central Plains. Conditions will remain mostly clear across the southern Plains and the Deep South due to high pressure over the Gulf Coast.

Meanwhile, an area of low pressure will take shape along the east coast of Florida. Showers and thunderstorms will accompany this system and linger over eastern Florida.

Out west, there will be a slight chance of light snow showers over the Cascades during Monday morning. The remainder of the West Coast will stay clear of precipitation due to a ridge of high pressure over the eastern Pacific. Temperatures are forecast to range between the 70s and 80s across the Desert Southwest.
